Parent Geenee Launches Location-Based Parental Control App; R Madhavan Joins as Investor

Parent Geenee launches a location-based parental control app in India, backed by R. Madhavan. It helps parents set digital boundaries for kids. Now on iOS & Android. Learn more!

Mumbai | US-based tech firm Parent Geenee Inc. has introduced its innovative location-based parental control app in India, with actor R. Madhavan joining as a strategic investor and partner. The app enables parents to set digital boundaries based on location, addressing concerns over excessive screen time among children.

Unlike traditional parental controls, Parent Geenee allows customized screen access depending on a child’s environment—such as home, school, or designated safe zones. Additional features include app approval, web filtering, and an optional Bluetooth Beacon for room-based restrictions.

Expanding into the education sector, Parent Geenee has partnered with institutions like Allen Institutes and The Doon School, allowing educators to manage digital access on school premises. The app is available on iOS and Android, with both free and premium subscription plans.
