Bank of Baroda Marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 with Inclusive Initiatives

Bank of Baroda celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme “BankAbilities – Banking on the Abilities of the Differently Abled.”

Mumbai | Bank of Baroda celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme “BankAbilities – Banking on the Abilities of the Differently Abled.” The event, held at the Corporate Office, emphasized the bank’s commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key announcements included free Doorstep Banking Services for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) customers, providing one complimentary service per month for a year. The bank also felicitated Ms. Geeta Chouhan, Captain of India’s Wheelchair Basketball team, for her exceptional contributions to sports.

Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, highlighted the bank's efforts to empower over 2,200 PWD employees with tailored job roles, assistive tools, and inclusive policies. The event featured a skit by employees, promoting awareness about the capabilities of differently-abled individuals.

Bank of Baroda plans further initiatives at regional and zonal offices to advocate for the rights and inclusion of PWDs.
